Sirkowski, was the Logdriver's waltz lyrics originally in English or French. I'm wondering after watching both versions (despite not knowing a lick of French) I though the French language vocalists matched the music better.
The original was in english, but the french version works indeed quite well. Probably because the McGarrigle sisters are bilingual.
I thought this would be Michael Palin's song about forestry workers...
