Ya, that's what he said. He said their convention is a family oriented.
I find that laughable since porn and hentai (like tentacule rape) ae available there every year. There's also slightly dressed Booth Babes and last year one store was selling swords. Yeah, weapons are really family friendly. e_e
I've sent him a reply telling him I was most known for Miss Dynamite and that it's not porn. That I wouldn't be showing porn there. We'll see what happens.
Worst case scenario, I can (probably) still buy a table in Artists Alley. But it still sucks.
I assume that when you go to these things, Sirkowski, you ususally leave that stuff at home, correct?
I can see where this is going.
Who's sponsering the event? MySpace and DeviantArt?
And since when did anime become a "family oriented" event? What about all those chicks who cosplay as the women from Dead or Alive? Are they "family oriented"?
Franchement, c'est curieux. D'abord, deviant art, maintenant Toronto. Enfin, il reste toujours newgrounds. A part missdynamite.com et evasblogofterror.
It's not the people of Toronto, it's the people who organize the Expo. A lot of people have criticized them for organizing small free conventions on the same day of other conventions.
I think I'll try to get invited to next year's Anime North. And this time, ixney on the porney.

that really sucks, dude... I'm sorry!
puddle
C'est con s'ils laissent passer pour le materiel porno et pas les Hentaï, ils ont deux standards...plate.

My thoughts exactly.

... That's not cool. Not cool one bit. I get crap like that because I write lemons. I'm sorry for that and it confirms that people from Toronto suck.

That's ironic, concidering that conventions have at least one booth deticated entirely to hentai/yaoi doujinshi.
