Update: After Auguste pointed to me that the petition and donations were for SHAC (an organization who supports the Animel Liberation Front, a terrorist group), I filled a complaint to the Montréal public transport society. It's a bit scary that they wouldn't do a background check on these people.There was a PeTA presentation booth at the Berri Metro station to collect donations and sign a petition to close down some animal testing lab in Europe or something. They had big posters showing mutilated animals at their table. I circled around for a few minutes wondering what I could do (or should I do anything at all). When the train stopped at the station, I grabbed one of their petition pads and ran away with it. X-D I got in the train and noticed one of the PeTA guys was on my trail. I quickly ripped off the page with all the signatures and gave the pad back to the guy. He exited the train and when the doors closed down, he turned around to look at me with a "what's your fucking problem?!?" facial expression. That's when I showed him the signature page I stole through the window. The train went on its way, my heartbeat slowed down, they lost a bunch of signatures and I have a funny story to tell.

You know, i read somewhere that PETA puts more animals to sleep, than most states do per year, from overcrowded "sanctuaries", or from lack of funds to feed them.

Nice. I actually just watched one of those snuff films that they call "educational." After seeing that, I know that they're pretty much obsessed with glorifying the death of what has always been considered food.
First off, hehehe Sirkowski, you devil you. I hope you don't get in trouble for this.
Secondly, euthanasia is considered a humane way of killing animals, not just bashing them upon the head as seen on videos of people killing animals for food. They aren't being entirely hypocritical because they are against animal cruelty (which is bringing any kind of pain to an animal), not against an animal being "humanely" killed.
As for animal testing... Eh.. When you read the sheet, that does prove a point. Testing on animals, seeing them die, and then putting the shit on market without much care of what it'd do to humans is something that should be considered a federal offense. BUT if the animal testing actually had a significance to what the effect may be on humans and the people testing actually heed those results, then I would say it'd be useful.

Which, take it from me, it does. There's no medical procedure you or I or anyone have undergone that doesn't have its roots in animal experimentation. If the PETA/ALF types were consistent, they'd refuse all western medicine.
Also, Sirk, there's a good chance that's not PETA, but SHAC - Stop Huntingdon Animal Cruelty - and SHAC are fucking terrorists. So be careful, and good job.
The animal testing lab products may have a bad impact on human health, I think those forms are very important. I'm sure that the peTA guy was 'very' angry when you showed him the signature page that you stole. I just hope that you don't get into trouble for doing this. :D

Those fuckers do the same thing in Europe as well, you know. Yesterday I did all my xmas shopping on Queen Street in Cardiff, and there they were, with their stupid folding table and all their pictures of mutilated animals asking for signatures.
I really, really feel sorry for the kid who sees a vivisected puppy while out with his mother shopping for family xmas presents. Out of all the people who hassle you on the street with clipboards, they are the most deserving of a 'no, GO FUCK YOURSELF'.

Most of the dogs at the shows live pampered lives and don't know how to live in the wild, so they either become strays or die in the cold or in traffic.

Uh, I thought Eva and Blackie WERE terrorists. Really good at staying pretty despite playing with guns and knives, but seemingly more into it for being into it, because if I've been reading the story right they haven't really gained that much money at it?
They'd do awesome at ELF, especially if due to the FBI harassment it finally releases a "human extermination" splinter group called "MELF". (M. for Murderous) It'd make an awesome Eva and Blackie story. Eva would be blowing up everything, gutting bankers in their beds at night, then shouting "Shaddup or I KILL you!!!" to anyone pointing out her hipocrasy of eating hamburgers. Blackie would teach stealth and martial arts, then be sexed through the roof, probably having herself nightly mounted by three young guys will all sorts of kinky piercings while she fondles a woman or two. And they'd both probably have all the pot they could smoke. Less logging = less intrusion in 'rural private farms' capiche?
And, along the way, they'd get money from "Trust fund babies", safes in CEO's offices, banks they rob aaaannnndddd if/when they got caught, they'd have top dollar lawyers and be celebrated as "Heroes".
Frankly, the only thing "Dumb" about your otherwise awesome comic is that they are even touching AL Queada, but not having anything to do with these guys.

Rulakir, my primary concern (Mrs Lovejoy voice) was how a kid might feel seeing a picture of a dog with its intestines hanging out. I find it unpleasant, but if you're six you could well be horrified.

Compareing Jews to mutilated animals was I? Suppress the truth. Feel good about life. Belsen was true, as is Vivisection. The comparason ends there. Horrors of "civilised society" You cannot "sanitise" some truths, they are to awful to not be appauled by. To not be shocked, is to not care. How do you dicuss cutting up an animal alive, and make it comfortable?
As for Vivisection in specific, the ends do not jusitfy the means.

Huntingdon Life Sciences are just down the road from me and we here about employees getting attacked all the time on the local news. An owners of a guinea pig farm had his dead mother's corpse dug-up and stolen by these twisted f*ck-wits and they said he'd only get the body back when he closed the farm. The Police caught the bastards but the body was never recovered, they only got 12 years.
The Southern Poverty Law Center certainly has more credibility than you Chris. I'll take their word before yours.
