What's worse is that I'm not even that surprised.
I swear. New York is the only remaining major American city with a serious rat problem.
A run-in I once had with one frizzled me up so bad I stayed off the subway for a damn week.
It sounds like NY needs some cats... or else the plague will spread!
I wouldn't worry about the rats too much. Statistically you are more likely to be bitten by another person in NY than by anything else.
