The Forum is Dead

I think probably one person noticed (even I forgot about it), but the Miss Dynamite forum has been closed and is dead for good. There was already very little activity when I transfered it to Slipshine, now the only new members were spambots. I think the blog killed the forum, so I don't think it's a loss, just a change. Who still goes to forums these days anyway?

I go to a forum, I just enjoy the level of interaction. Yeah, it's actually kind of dying, so I've been wondering myself if it's some sort of trend.

Forums as a form of communication are pretty old school by today's standards. That sort of stuff just isn't instant enough, I guess.

IMHO it's a repeating trend. Look at what happened to Newsgroups. Hugely popular in the 80s/90s, but these days... not so much.

Large forums can still get by comfortably because of the amounts of fresh content they receive, but anything smaller (lol, HentaiQuest) doesn't stand a chance.

Then again, moving your forum from an old UBB hosted on your server to Slipshine was like taking something hidden in the back of your drawer and hiding it even further back.

Newgrounds seems to still be fairly popular enough. It's just there's YouTube now.

I didn;t know there was a forum. Then again, I thought the site was dead 3 years ago when I ordered comics from you & only got a refund.

Oh yeah, & you can get even more attention to your site by putting up the Miss Dymanite anime episodes on YouTube if you haven;t already. Sure they suck now & their video quality is low, but Sam T & Floating Hands Studeos will vouch for them drawing in more fans.

I've only been to the forums a couple of times, and I only read from them.

Yeah ... I totally forgot about it. Truth be told though, I've stopped going on most forums since leaving for Japan last year.

I've always had a lot of trouble converting my movies to video. (I mut be doing something wrong) Someday hopefully.

And what about those comics, Lika? You ever got them?

Sorry it died.
I went there from time to time before the transfer, but then there was apparently a need to re-register and that always puts me off.
