I think I may have told this story before, but two brothers (in elementary grade 4 maybe) did exactly this with a NES.

- It's you who's gonna break the wire if you keep pulling!

And you could clearly see the plastic stretching slowly. At least it wasn't my console.

I had that similar experience once between a boy and a girl. But it was with a microphone.
