Your opinion don't mean shit!

(Note: I think this is one of the best I've done.)

NOT EVERYTHING IS A MATTER OF OPINION!
Exemple.
Dumbass: I believe the Sun revolves around the Earth because the Bible says so.
Me: ya... ok, but... it doesn't.
Dumbass: Well that's your opinion and I've got mine.

Wonder why there are wars, terrorism, poverty and Yu-gioh in this world? It's because of retards like this! Your opinion? Your opinion is irrelevant as the shit up your ass if you're fucking ignorant like this. An (good) opinion is made of knowledge. You form an opinion, you don't get it from your ass.

I'M NOT A BIGOT BECAUSE I POINT THE FACT THAT YOU'RE DUMB AS FUCK!
Exemple.
Me: So, as I was saying, to think that the Sun revolves around the Earth is just as illogical as to think that Santa Claus exists because you got presents last Xmas.
Dumbass: You meanie! Don't insult my religion by comparing it to Santa Claus, I'm not a child.
Me: I beg to differ...

If you don't want to be threated like a child, learn to GROW THE FUCK UP!
Is it a coincidence that the poorest countries in the world are also the most religious? The lefties will say that it's capitalist exploitation. Perhaps, but it's much harder to be exploited when you don't live your life according to a fairy tale.

"Well it's a good thing I didn't go to school, get a job and made money to feed my family, otherwise I might not have gone to heaven!"

The Catholic church teach kids in all their schools in Africa and other third world countries that condoms don't protect from AIDS. That's a crime against humanity if I ever saw one and the pope and his goons should be hanged for this...

NOT EVERYONE NEEDS RELIGION, HIGHER PURPOSE OR SPIRITUALITY

First, if you think everyone needs religion or thinks that atheism and agnostism are religions, then you are terribly stupid or you have serious issues (something about your mom).

Second, sure, everyone needs something to do, but not everyone needs a fucking crusade! For most people a simple hobby is more than enough to live a very fulfilled life.

And third, bird watching is NOT spirituality! (take that Oprah)

I'M NOT A CHRISTIAN, SO I FEEL PERFECTLY FINE HATING YOUR SAD PERSON!
Exemple.
Dumbass: ^_^ You're going to hell! =) But I still love you! =) =) =)
Me: Than suck my dick...

No, it's not because I'm a liberal that I'm gonna be tolerant of intolerance. To the contrary. And I'm not gonna be civil about it either.
Since the majority of Americans are Christians, shouldn't America be praying for the souls of the 9/11 hijackers to go to heaven? That's ridiculous, please...

Mercifully, not all Christians are like your example. I'm one and I'd hate that guy too. Faith is fine, but blind faith is idiotic.

And seriously, what is the point of telling an atheist they're going to Hell?

According to some studies, socioeconomic Status has a low corrolation with happiness.

Religion has a slightly better association with satisfaction. The more religious a country, the more likely people are to report that they are happy. From the point of view of utility, shouldn't we encourage religiousness?

Are you fucking serious? The most secular countries in the world are also the richest. The most religious countries are dirt poor and culturaly retarded. Where did you find this so-called study, up your ass? Don't waste space on blog, fucktard.

well first of all i'm italian and i think that the sun revolves around the earth and that man didn't evolve from monkey :)
i really think that except for chattolic and ortodoxy churchs, and other little church like copts, there aren't other real cristian church and that atheism is a religion cause is always a faith thing...
and for that italy is a really religious country (in state television "rai 3" or "rai 1" there is the pope messa sunday morning televised and theological discussion after) but we live really well
i think that is all a question of use the religion as a power instrument as they do in islam country as bush do in usa using the "cristian" protestant church
if the most religious country are also the most poor is cause the people indigence led alwys to the hope of a better life at least after death...
hovever dostoevskij say it better in demons

Look, people just get too freaked out in general. I walk up to someone, and ask them their name and they threaten to bludgeon me to death with a cruxifix. I think it shouldn't matter what religion you or your country primarilly is, as long as you don't use it as a pretext for whatever you do. Religion should be a subject for personal fulfillment, not a reason to get pissed off at some random guy on the street. I mean, I'm Buddhist, but I don't run up to random people and ask them to rub my belly...

...unless it's been a stressful day.

Sirkowski, I completely agree with you. I was a believer when I was younger but hey! I just learn about science and philosophy for developing my common sense(guys you should try that). Damn! try to develop you how perception instead of believing all this religious crap who reliate more on faith than logic.

Sorry if my english is bad, this is not my first language.

I'm sorry but ppl just need to give up on religion all together and start using common sense.. (and I really don't care if this offends anyone GET OVER IT!)

Point is Humans in general will always "add" things to events and whatnot. The bible and all other religions where based on some form of "book" or scripts that tell about what occurred and why we should believe in them. First off, these "manuscripts" where all written by MAN. thus they are all FALSE! Just because we can't prove that it DID NOT occur as these documents state DOES NOT MEAN THAT THEY ARE TRUE!! hence the phrase "I'll believe it when I see it"

I'd like to point out the FACT that after Jesus and all his disciples where dead and gone, all these "miricles" that are stated in the bible suddenly stopped. No more 'Great Floods' no more 'water into wine' and so on.

Now personally I don't doubt that a man named Jesus who was the son of Mary exsisted. By all means I think he did.. I just don't think he did all the CRAP they say he did. I'm sorry but Mary was fucking someone into order to become preggers! She just didn't tell her hub and so he thought it was a miricle. x_x PLAIN AND SIMPLE!!

So, GET OVER YOURSELVES! Quit trying to find someone/something to blame all your crap on. As Sirkowski said before. FIND A HOBBIE!

Ha ha, what kind of argument is that? Isn't opinion like ass? Everybody has one. His opinion, to us, might be completely idiotic but being intolerant of it would make you a fascist, a bigot.

Well, in every big nation of the world are at least a few people who have the fascist temperament. Every Jew-baiter, every Catholic hater, is a fascist at heart. The hoodlums who have been desecrating churches, cathedrals and synagogues in some of large cities are ripe material for fascist leadership.

Thinking about it once again, you might be right. One's opinion has to do with uprisings, experiences, and such. It can be affected. But in the end, it is you who'd make the change.

I don't like arguing what's right or wrong about some fundie's thinking. For crying out loud, debating with those people is like running in Special Olympics; even if you win, you're still retarded

I'm not religious, and i have no problem with people who are but really "evolution is a lie, we all come from Adam and Eve" is just bull shit. People invented religions to fill the void of what happens when you die. I can understand why, i mean being in a hole in the ground eaten by maggots, everything you ever accomplished lost to the world when you die is a kinda depressing but hey if i made a religion you would follow logic, everything happened but not because of some divine reason, when you die you go where ever the hell you want, and the best part is you have to live life to the fullest(think of the nuns!). The only down side is that there is nobody to blame your mistakes on and you cant use women as a scapegoat (sorry Christians thats my biggest problem with all of you. and yeah i know most Christians don't find women bad anymore but hey I hold a grudge, my ancestors where "witches.")

11:02 PM
Anonymous Anonymous said...

thats kind of stupid. true religion didn't come from people wanting answers to when they die. the bible clearly says at ecclesiastes 9:5 that the dead are not conscious of nothing. the bible does NOT teach immortality of the soul. nowhere does it say that "when you die some magical friggin spirit leaves your body". i've studied it. alot. the truth is religious people don't read he bible. and if they do, it's nothing more then a superficial reading, just saying "oh, that was a nice passage" and forgetting all about it in 5 minutes. and I think that evolution makes no sense. first off, survival of the fittest. say for some reason, against all odds, a big friggin bang occured (thats a real scientific name) and a one celled organism evolved. wouldn't it be the only one to survive? and if it DID become stronger, strong enough to survive, then why did the less deserving organism continue to exist? and if it DID happen that way, wouldn't the new organism EAT the old one? evolution doesnt explain all of the diversity we find in the world. second, you think we're stupid because we say God created the earth. but aren't you just replacing that with a big bang? why is it so impractical to beleive that the earth was designed? i think, from a mathematical view, that it is nearly impossible for a bang to happen to create life. this is what seems true to me- e=mc2, right? so therefore m2=e/c2. god used and controlled HUGE amounts of his power, or energy, whatever, and created mass. it is scientifically proven that energy can create mass. science says "cause and effect", so where did the big bang come from? everything i see in nature says "design" its all to perfect to come about by chance.

TL;DR

12:03 AM
Anonymous Anonymous said...

@anonymous
first off the time between the actual big bang and organisms forming is billions of years and secondly, millions of years took place from when first single celled organisms were "born" and when dinosaurs were roaming the earth. So evolution does explain diversity because numerous species evolving and branching out over millions of years with the changing of their climate and environment. Lastly, you say that god used his power and created mass and therefore the earth. Well where did he get his power? You use science to show that energy can create mass so by your logic god must have gotten his power somewhere? How was he created? Religion today is just like the religion of the past. Just how the romans and greeks needed to have their world, their lives justified, so do the people of today. Whenever I think of religion I always think of the fairy tales my parents used to tell me. The ones about dragons, griffions, super powers and magic. God and religion are fairy tales, and too many people believe them to be real.

Sirkowski, you have a talent. You make great movies, great comics, and you have a good place on your opinion. You're probably going to attack me for this, but no matter how funny you are, we do have the choice of opinion. It does exist, and no matter your own opinion, no matter your support, some of us are going to believe there is a God, there is a King James Bible, and the sun does revolve around the earth.

America is a booming country (until 2005, when we hit the start of a recession), and we don't combine religion with politics. Iraq does combine its religion with its politics, and because of the two other religions in it, it was only fodder to the start of its civil war. Its poor because it combined its religion with its politics, not because it is religiously overpowering. If America combine Christianity with liberalism, we would also crumble because other religions that came here would riot.

Nice blog...

I recently found you (specifically your artwork/entertainment) via Newgrounds and I think it's pretty nice your stuff.

I read in an article (from Edge?) that disbelief in religion is growing in the first world countries. Have you read it? While the U.S. (or North America) is behind compared to Europe, maybe in the future, eventually, rational thought will prevail.

Here's the link:
http://www.edge.org/3rd_culture/paul07/paul07_index.html

oh, not all lefties say it's solely or grows because of "capitalist exploitation" (I know because I'm one, of the anarchist variety, and hang out with others, of many varieties); there's different thoughts about religion (and the position the left should have towards it) among the left.

I apologies for not reading the whole series of comments above me, but...

I must say I agree with what you said.

I am an atheist (or more like a pagan with no god), believing only in reality and mankind as an organism (in the sense that I do not bow down to anything invisible or extraordinary. I just do my part for humanity and evolution). I question everything and I don't believe in random things other collectively believe just because they were taught so. I must see or I must have a logical explanation for a "God" to exist(Yuri Gagarin: There is no God. I didn't see him up there!).

Okay, skipping the bla bla, I see a point only in logically concluding the existence of something. I do not contest something for no reason at all.

I do listen to (and I did so for years) believers of different confessions and I asked them to convince me logically that what they believed in was true.

The smartest of them concluded in saying that religion is something to stick to as a reason to go on, even in the bleakest moments.

I did approve, knowing how religion evolved. But I saw a more efficient idea to use is reality. Why not believe in what is real? If you have, at one moment, no reason to live (classical scenario where sometimes only religion saves them via the psychological component... I am exagerating a little outside the pharanthese), you commit suicide considering there is nothing to live for (all of this being from the suicidee's point of view).

So, they said that religion gave them the reason to live. I counteracted saying it was easier to believe in reality, in mankind. Kind of, there is a reason to live: to see what is next on or to help humanity (or hinder it... it is a reason to live).

I saw that as a more efficient way of thinking because there was no need for wasting time / space / memory / material for it. No need for a church, a Bible, praying or any of such. Just doing your part for humanity. (That meaning help it evolve or at least live or survive)

Gah! Sorry for the over-comment. Just felt I needed to "sketch" an ideea.

Thanks for reading and love, peace and prosperity,
Wolfie Fjordstrøm out.

You're a mis-informed fool. That's not an opinion; it's a fact.

And I'm not Christian. I'm not anything. But I do understand why religion exists, where it comes from and why people believe what they believe. Personally, I think they're wrong. But your rantings are a narrow-minded knee-jerk reaction to something you clearly feel unjustifiably threatened by.

Ironically (but not altogether unsurprisingly) this is much the same reaction you get from people of faith when you question their beliefs...
