Anti-Gay Evangelical Leader Resigns After Accusations of Gay Affair

Ted Haggard, one of the most prominent and politically powerful evangelical pastors in the country, resigned today as president of the 30-million-member National Association of Evangelicals “amid allegations that he carried on a three-year sexual relationship with a male prostitute.”

Haggard has called homosexuality a “sin” and “devastating for the children of our nation and for the future of Western civilization.”

I think those lyrics accurately describe Ted Haggard.

Pretty funny, "Christians" are taking a fall over this and Dubya. They deserve it, IMHO, since most of them would pick a FIGHT with Jesus if they met him in RL. And they were warned by CS Lewis AND the Bible itself NOT to do what they've done recently.

1. CS Lewis, can't find exact quote, but overall he warned against involving one's faith with politics, because politcs almost by definition is a corrupt game and therefore one's faith stands to be corrupted and then fall with the changing of politics.

2. From Revelations, warning of false leaders, false prophets: "By their FRUITS, ye shall Know them."

A DOUBLE meaning with Ted FAGgard, no?
