No, I think the soldiers in that humvee are in a serious rush and their horn is broken. Probably an attack somewhere and they're responding to it with no time to wait in traffic.
I think we got our work cut out for ourselves if we're trying to win their hearts and minds.
I don't think there's necessarily an attack. I could be wrong, but vehicules might have orders not to stop, for fears of becoming a target.

The US only wishes they could be a bully in Iraq. It would make things a lot easier. The US can't pull shit in Iraq anymore. The Shi'ites are in control now, on Iran's payroll.

The drivers in Iraq are crazy, I've seen people in 2 door VW golfs from the 70's cut in front of a Bradley FV doing 45 mph and then just stop, they are lucky if the driver of that thing can even see them let alone be able to stop in time. You can hear the shitty little HMMWV horn blowing the whole time and they still wont get out of the way, so its not like they don't have warning that a convoy is coming. Whats worse is they get some fundamentalist who wants to die for his 27 virgins or whatever, to cut in front of a convoy on a stretch of road that wired with IED's and then blow up the whole street. Other cars, pedestrians, kids walking home from school and all.

Sorry. Ive been to this website many of times but never really posted anything. But wanted to say something on this issue...
You cant just say all americans are dumb. because as far as im concerned the whole danm world is twisted. give any country power and I gaurentee they would have that same attitude you claim that most americans have. to simply attack one country is dumb. I'm American and I by no means am happy with whats going on over there..
understand something though. if these guys were to stop. theres a good chance they would be attacked. these people throw their own children in the roads just to stop these guys so they can raid them.
The whole thing is a mess and I too wish we would have just stayed out of there.
so please dont attack the americans. Cause were not all that way. and like I said before. The whole world is fucked up!
and thank you sirkowski for being so understanding. I have to admit being in and out of your website. I heard alot of your views and have to admit I cant agree with all of them (but hey we all have our opinions)
But you for the most part are very mature about things and open minded. Which is a rare quality (also you seem very educated on these things so I would never dare argue with ya =P ).

But, then again, I'm also of the opinion that EVERYONE's pretty dumb. The Canadians. The British. The French. The Australians. The Indians. The Japanese. There's probably room on the list for people from Italy, too.
If people weren't dumb and stupid the world over, you wouldn't find a growing satirists' movement in every corner of the world.
All the same... You know, I think a lot of us do get the sense that us in America have been screwing things up around the world a little disproportionately.
So, whether we're especially dumb or only equally so... well, we could all stand to make some improvements.

They shouldn't have do that to respond to an attack. They could just use the 21,500 people dumbass Bush wants to send over their. Besides, shouldn't humvees have adequate horns on them? And if they were responding to an attack, shouldn't they know where it is? The one guy said "I think you make a left up here."
They probably weren't responding to an attack, when on convoy you don't stop for anything, period. You stop and you get stuck, you get stuck and you get killed. Its that simple. The hummer wasn't designed for urban combat, the fact that its not normally armored proves that, so it just has a standard car horn on it. As to them not knowing where they are going; have you every seen a map of Baghdad? Its a rats nest. Or how about a street sign? They are as common as hens teeth and in Arabic. You think either of the two guys in that truck could read Arabic even if there was a sign? Getting lost in that place is easier than you think. Now you tell me if you want to slow down and ask for direction when you don't speak the language in a hostile country and there could be a sniper on a near by roof or an IED buried in the road just waiting for the spotter to set it off.
Guys never stop for directions. lol
