Wagner banned from DeviantArt -Updated
Wagner got banned from DeviantArt (permanently). No surprise there, it was just a question a time. The thing that would really bug me if it was my gallery though, is that DeviantArt has kept his gallery intact. That means DA will keep making money from the ad revenues made when people visit Wagner's gallery. I'm glad I pissed DA enough for them to trash my entire gallery.
Edit: and meanwhile, the neo-Nazis (ANSU) still have their club on DA. :-/
Update: For unknown reasons, Wagner is now unbanned. People might cheer, but don't go thinking DevianTart has changed.

I have never even seen the site before I started frequenting here, so maybe I'm missing something...
Why is it called "DeviantArt" when people are getting banned for making... well... deviant art???
Seems like that would be like kicking a starlet off of a porn site because she wasn't in family friendly poses.
I don't know why they banned him. But I imagine it has something to do with drawing adult versions of underraged characters in a sexual context.

DeviantART has an adult content filter users can turn on or off. What difference does it make what is posted? Kind of odd. You would think from a business aspect at least DeviantART would not want to drive away its popular contributors.
Most of his drawings while good, are based off underage characters from kids shows. I gotta say I find it mildly disturbing. Kind of makes me wonder if he's pedophile.

I came across Wagners work WAAAYYY back but could never find a source for his images. Then Finally When he gets a Place to post his work, they give him the CHOP!?. DANM that makes me mad. Now I fear there will be a lack of wagner art =/

MAn, this gets me mad. I used to say that DA had a right to ban people because it is their website after all. you cant expect to move into some ones home and to make all the rules. But they are SO unfair about how they enforce thier rules. People Like Dadword and Reiq will never be Banned from DA. Bacause they are either friends with the admins. or they bring in to many hits To DA for them to cut them off. they arent giving much of an image for themselves.
Wagner Was a great artist IMO even when his pieces werent pornographic, they were all great and unique in style. and I sure hope he continues to post his stuff elsewhere.
oh and sorry for the double post but as for the hole pedophile thing? I cant speak on wagners behalf. But I can in a sense understand how the hole drawing kid toons older thing can be exciting. Im no psycholgist (spelling) but I too find some (not all) pics of younger cartoons as adult to be, err uhhmm stimulating ... I guess for lack of a better word.
cant really explain it honestly. Maybe there is something erotic about the hole growing up process in itself? the loss of innocence through adulthood or something like that, kinda turns people on.

I don’t think the problem is knowing what they're rules are, but instead as to who they give lenience to and to who they will ban for the slightest infraction or imagined infraction.
Its not really that much of a surprise though since many people that are used to having no power take every little bit of power obtained to heart as if it was bestowed to them by the gods to use as their whims take them.
