There's the Anarchist book fair in May. You'll have to look it up.
Davidchu - C'est pas trop fort sur les dédicaces. De toute façon j'avais pas dormis de la nuit et étais trop fatigué pour dessiner. Mais les ventes ont été très bonnes.
Aisling - I know there are similar events, though I am not too familiar with them. But the ExpoZine is the one where there is the most comix artists.
Thanks sirkowski - I loved the event, as a independent mediamaker - it would be good to get some sort of communal listing, or blog of events like Expozine. - anyway cheers for the vid.
Jack - thanks for the response, I do know of the anarchist bookfair, that's a great one too!
Flickr's kind of like that, and there's a Montreal Show message board which is lively, but mostly about music. (I don't know the address).
Drop into Monastiriki on the corner of St. Laurence and St. Viateur, and ask Billy Mavreas! He knows a lot about these things.
Though he and the "Mensuhell" group that Sirkowski belongs to might be fighting. I'm not sure about that.
Fighting? First time I hear about that.
Less said the better. I was talking about O. Tessier's "Comics Journal" article on the Montreal alternative scene, which some Mensuhell regulars objected to. Old news, but I think some feelings are still hurt.
jack, i'm not fighting with anyone. hopefully never will!
