Nerd rage real life flame war

Perhaps you've heard of this idiot who got angry when a troll called him a nerd on the Internet? The nerd drove over 1300 miles to burn the troll's trailer, got arrested and gets 7 years in jail.

It gets better. Here's his DeviantArt page; his name is PYROdice... lol
In a July 20 entry, he says:
Hiatus - I'm really sorry all, but I'm going to be gone for a while... I'd love to read whatever comments come up by the time I'm back, but were talking months here. I can't really tell you anything about what I'm doing, but it won't be pleasant, and I'll be thinking of you all... Everyone be good... And to the girls... You're all more beautiful than you think when you're looking in the mirror. Yes you. Stop looking behind you. :D

Then a few days later.
vanishing awhile - Awright... this is the last you'll hear of me. I'm actually disappearing, I'm off the grid for around 9 1/2 months... Don't ask, I can't really tell you. :-(

It's gonna be a bit more than 9 months for arson...
While we're at it, his MySpace. And his Flickr album. He does look like a nerd, so I don't know what he got all emo... XD

9 months possible, depending if he had some fucked up plea bergen if they can sentence a 5 year old to 10 years in prison for manslotter and letting a rapist get 1 year why not 9 months for arcen

Seems more of a geek than a nerd. (No pocket protector). If it's his first offense it's probably been negotiated to that 9 months with probation following. I personally think the Troll deserved it. With all these geeks going ballistic on bullies and internet douchebags maybe people will start thinking twice before putting someone down.

Don't confuse courage with mental instability.

Why must courage and mental instability be mutally exclusive? I think they go quite well together.

And no one fucks with madman.

Well, one guy is in jail and another guy will probably get a new trailer from his insurance.

Driving from Virgina to Texas to get back at someone. = Stupid
Flying from Iraq to Texas. = Mewsworthy, but stupid.

By the way, I know Scooter Libby's stay in jail was far to brief, but have you seen this video?

I think the guy in jail lives with satisfaction and the guy in the trailer park lives with humiliation. So it's all relative.

How does Scooter Libby fit into this? That's thread hijacking! Or bushido hacking...

By the way, did anyone see the Simpsons movie??

I'd rather be a free nerd. ;-p

Haven't seen it yet. I'll probably have to see both the english and french version because we have the best translation in Quebec.

Haha! That's really true about the trailer, Bill! That just struck me. I'd probably feel sorry for the guy and just go home before the rednecks came out with their beer bottles and shotguns.

Check it out. The guy is like 50...

I bet if he would have just knocked at the door, the troll would have said he was sorry.

Trolls tend to be less brave in real life.

I wonder if nerd is the only word that would have made this guy fly off the handle. What if he was called a bitch or a pussy or something else? Would he still have gone and burned the dude's house down? Usually people get riled up about something like that because it's true, but they're just trying to deny it. There's nothing wrong with being a geek or a nerd, though. I call myself that all of the time. I wonder if this guy will look back and ask himself: was it really worth going to jail for?

I don't think it mattered what he was called. He had issues.
