Someone told me yesterday Eva should have a signature weapon (kinda like James Bond's Walter PPK). As I've answered, though I've never put any emphasis on it, she does have some recuring firearms. Her concealed weapon usualy is some type of Colt M1911. For the assault-rifle, it's the classic AK-47. You can't call yourself a terrorist without one. Perhaps not very original so far, but finally if she wants to show off and doesn't need to conceal her firearm, she will strap her holster and load six bullets in a Colt Peacemaker, shooting everyone spaghetti western style!

lol. that was me.
That's good info for if anybody ever makes a Miss Dynamite quiz game. I never would've known if she had a signature weapon or not though, I know so little about guns unless it's obvious I can't even tell the difference. I can tell this much though there's something about the way Eva wears that ammo belt that's kinda sexy.
First thing I thought of when I read "signature weapon" was "What about her colt?" So, some of us notice at least.
You should let Eva do some guntricks like that Revolver Ocelot dude in Metal Gear Solid. That would be awesome
Ah spaghetti western style! Thats the best way to go ...
Grate choice for the hand gun.. I would have picked Heckler & Koch USP40 One of the best hand guns out there now to date! Love this gun because it is Just like the m1911 A.
I truly love this gun it shoots like a dream.. ^^
Glad that some people noticed. :-)
Now I'll show you why they call me "Revolver".
You forgot that classic RPG she used to wake up Blackie. =D
Well something that allways kinda bugged me, since Eva is "supposedly" Russian, and seems to have such a strong tie with the whole revolutionist ideal, you would think that she'd be using a makarov or something of the like as a side arm or a DOG-1 as a revolver (Since its so damn compact and powerfull for a revolver).
For me personaly though, you cant go wrong with anything IMI or IWI (Israeli Military/Weapons Industry)
Galil and a 9mm Jericho 941 and your ready to rock anywhere on the planet.
And speaking of guns, I'd like to see a gun battle in an upcoming Dynamite episode, something a bit more personal and gritty then just Pu Tang and Eva trading a few rounds across a Baghdad street.
Something epic, like Eva taking out all the LA cops controlled by Hamaya back when you ust to make just the comics.
"The Colt Single Action Army, the best handgun ever made..." - Revolver Ocelot
Of course, you can't go wrong with a Python, either.
Of course, the AK-47 is a great weapon as well. Nothing fancy, it's all utility - like a weapon should be.
She's only a revolutionary when it fits her goals. And for power, like Jezebel said, she'll use and RPG. Hell, she even used a Soviet ICBM once. X-D
ICBM?! Badass! This must've been in the manga, or perhaps I'm forgetting something from the series?
Check episode 3 in the comics section.
Given that it takes a lot more time and effort to animate a gritty shootout than just a few seconds of tracers flying back and forth across a dusty street between two identical buildings...I'm gonna go with a no on that one ^^;
Cheesy line time--the best weapon you have is also the hardest to use, and it's called your brain :P
A shoot-out is easier to animate than martial arts though. But anyway, the two next episodes are about Twiggy anyway.
I wouldn't think animating a huge missle would be nearly as difficult as animating gunplay, but I suppose the resulting explosion would be another story. Not an animator myself, so I wouldn't know.
On the topic of martial arts, and to bring up another question you've probably gotten a lot before, are there any particular styles you use for your characters?
I know pretty much nothing about martial arts, except what I've seen in those countless Hong-Kong movies. So I just replicate things I see in movies or just make stuff up that looks cool. I think the only style I could identify would be drunken boxing, cuz it's so obvious.
It's funny cause I could see Eva with a Desert Eagle solely for the gore factor of a .50 caliber bullet splitting some guys' head open like an overripe melon. and don't forget the under barrel grenade launch that is attachable to the AK series of rifles. More Explosions equals Fun!!!
I'm not gun expert, but from the YouTube videos, the Desert Eagle's recoil seems ridiculous.
Signature weapon... all the great fictional women have 'em! (Samus' arm cannon, Zoe's Mare's Leg, Sniper Wolf's twin bazookas...) I would have guessed the Kalashnikov WAS her signature weapon, but since they're easily interchangeable and readily black market availible, there is no personal attachment.
On that note of personal attachment, there should be some sort of wacky backstory to be told later on said handgun, ESPECIALLY if you go all six-gun with it. Something like winning it in a stripper competition or getting it as unexpected ransom pay or even as a dying wish from a rodeo clown something.
the desert eagle is the subject of ridicule and jokes from people who really shoot. for one, it's ridiculously heavy for a sidearm and unreliable. besides, the only reason it was created was as a novelty, it was never meant for combat.
What if she used the guns in a Russian circus act as a kid? It would explain a few things.
It's true the Desert Eagle is Unreasonably heavy and is a bitch to clean. Plus the recoil as you said is pretty bad, it nearly knocked my cousin flat on her ass.
Better on his ass than on his face. lol
Yeah, I could just see Eva doing that with her skinny arms =P

Oh yes, most def noticed ^^
Colt is a great choice for Eva. It's older, easily recognizable as a profile, good for a cartoon. The only Russian equivalent that I can think of that's near as identifiable is the Nagant revolver. Which, owning one, I can tell you, Eva would laugh at, and use as a cudgle. They STILL issue this design to security guards though. Is sad really.
