Sister Wulfia Focka: 20 new pages

I've finished the 100th page of SWF for Slipshine.I forgot to announce the last SWF update last week, so with today's, that's 20 pages in total for September.

I haven't been very active online lately. I've been either working on this or being sick. Or both. I thought I had the flu last week, but it turns out it was the muscle relaxants I got for my tendonitis that were bringing me the hell down. There's like five days that are a total blank in my memory... o_O And according to my schedule, I was still working. X-D Everything seems cool now. For the moment anyway.

TVA discovers Hentai

TVA is a Quebec tv channel. Their news is a bit like FOX, but without a political bias. Sensasional, no nuance and incompetant.

TVA News had a report on hentai tonite. In this report, we learn that:
*Hentai is for pedophiles.
*If you watch hentai, you will rape children.
*Hentai is illegal in Canada.

Anything to make people panic. They even talked about a Canadian who went to prison for possessing hentai. Which isn't true. That particular person had hentai in his possession, but also kiddie porn, which is why he was sent in jail.

Bonus points!
*They say the images they're showing is of children. They're obviously not, they just have a school girl uniform (and huge boobs).
*They say the images are shocking, but then show them on TV, then put them online and give the adress of a hentai website!
*A sexologue talks about comic books, while referring to animation. You sure you know what you're talking about?
*They say just clicking on a hentai link is a criminal act. But then... the reporter committed a criminal act by downloading these videos for his report! lol

Ending the summer in beauty

Haven't posted a lot in the last few days. I've been working, but I also got a calcified tendonitis in my left elbow shoulder. It's not my drawing arm and these things only last about 5 days, so I decided to walk it off. Big fucking mistake. It hurt so much yesterday, several times I thought I was going to faint. This morning was a bit better, but I went to the doctor to get some medicine anyway.

I still managed to draw two pages of Sister Wulfia Focka in that state. :p Moving with the flu, a renitis, an ear infection and a tendonitis. Great summer!

I'm a guest at Montreal's Comicon this weekend.
I don't have any new material for sale, but commissions are 10$.

Speaking of new material, I need to make a new book. But I got enough on my plate already that a story would take me a year to draw. And I'd like to release something for the Expozine in November. I've been thinking of a new sketch book, like Sex Sells. Maybe... Sex Sells Bondage?? There was only one bondage pic in Sex Sells and people kept asking me if I had more (I don't), so I guess there's some people who are interested?

Did I spoke too soon?

Yesterday we learned that the McCain team has just started vetting their vice-presidential candidate, Alaska's gov. Sarah Palin. Uh... Shouldn't you vet a candidate before chosing her?? It's starting to look like McCain just picked a woman, any random woman for his campaign. All this based on a strategy to exploit a story of the day from last Spring. Are women frustrated with Hillary's loss going to go with an anti-abortion candidate? A good looking MILF who makes fun of her opponants physical appearence? (No, Really!) [sarcasm]Yeah, women will LOVE her![/sarcasm]

This is starting to look like Harriet Miers all over again. Conservatives are now starting to express doubts about her nomination.

I'm very disappointed that John McCain would put someone as inexperienced and lacking in foreign policy and national security background as Sarah Palin a heartbeat away from the presidency.  [...] In my view, Palin wouldn't have been seriously considered for vice president but for her gender.

Tokenism. Can anyone say with a straight face that Palin would have gotten picked if she were a man?

Indeed, conservatives love to complain about affermative action, but then they selected a candidate because she's a woman.

As much as I loathe Obama-Biden, I can't in good conscience vote for a McCain-Palin ticket. Palin has absolutely no experience in foreign affairs. Considering both McCain's advanced age and the state of the world today, it is essential that the veep be exceedingly qualified to assume the office of president. I simply don't have any confidence in Palin's ability to deal effectively with Iran, Russia, China, etc. I certainly will not cast a vote for Obama-Biden, but nor will I vote for McCain-Palin. Looks like I'll either sit this one out or vote for Bob Barr. Why, o, why, didn't McCain listen to Rove and just pick Romney?

it will reinforce a theme that I'd be pounding home if I were the Obama campaign: that it's John McCain for all his white hair who represents the risky choice, while it is Barack Obama who offers cautious, steady, predictable governance.

But these people shouldn't be surprised. They tried to find a cause for war after invading Iraq.
